Understanding global economic trends combined with U.S. fiscal and monetary policy drives his research. Studies are applied to various economic and political news venues to formulate investment strategy. Paul subscribes to numerous investment newsletters and publications as well as monitor technical indicators to devise a proactive investment strategy.
Paul typically holds less than 5 positions but utilizes major indexes and sectors to provide diversification as well as inverse positions to further diversify away from the market.
Objective is to perform between 10-15 trades per year. Typically utilizes short positions (inverse ETFs) to hedge while maintaining long position(s), thereby reducing trading costs and short term capital gains. Trading objective is secondary to portfolio performance.

The month of February turned out to be a moderate test of resilience in the market …… and it passed the test. Political bashing of the banks followed by China’s tightening served as a one two punch and the Greek debt could have dealt the knock out blow sending us into a full fledged correction but the market took the body shots and has come back strong.
